s\u00edtio Santa Tereza (Miss\u00e3o Velha) no dia 22\/12\/1904, tendo sido registrado no Crato-CE, e faleceu no dia 20\/12\/2002. Filho de Ant\u00f4nio Martins de Jesus e Ant\u00f4nia Leite Martins, pequenos propriet\u00e1rios rurais.<br \/>Formou-se Bacharel em Ci\u00eancias Jur\u00eddicas e Sociais pela Faculdade de Direito de Teresina-PI. Foi professor do Liceu, presidente do Rotary Club de Fortaleza e, em 1945, tornou-se professor catedr\u00e1tico e doutor em Direito pela Faculdade de Direito do Cear\u00e1. Em 1948 passou a liderar o processo de cria\u00e7\u00e3o da Universidade do Cear\u00e1, atual Universidade Federal do Cear\u00e1.<br \/>A Universidade do Cear\u00e1 foi criada em 1954 e instalada em 1955. Martins Filho assumiu o cargo de reitor em 1955, permanecendo por quatro mandatos e transferindo o mandato a seu substituto legal em 1967. Foi o primeiro reitor, tamb\u00e9m homenageado como &#8220;Reitor dos reitores&#8221;, e respons\u00e1vel por promover as iniciativas fundamentais \u00e0 implanta\u00e7\u00e3o e funcionamento da Brejo Santo em 30\/05\/1905 e faleceu em 03\/02\/2000. Filho de Manoel Leite de Moura e Ant\u00f4nia Leite Tavares. Formou-se em Medicina pela Faculdade de Medicina da Bahia-BA. Foi professor interino da cadeira de Zoologia e Parasitologia do curso de Farm\u00e1cia da Faculdade de Farm\u00e1cia e Odontologia do Cear\u00e1, atual Faculdade de Farm\u00e1cia, Odontologia e Enfermagem da Universidade Federal do Cear\u00e1. Foi professor catedr\u00e1tico vital\u00edcio da Faculdade de Farm\u00e1cia e Bioqu\u00edmica e da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade Federal do Cear\u00e1. Em 1965 assumiu a dire\u00e7\u00e3o da Faculdade de Farm\u00e1cia e Bioqu\u00edmica e, em 1967, foi nomeado reitor da UFC, ficando no mandato por 4 anos. Em 1967 foi agraciado com o diploma de Cidad\u00e3o de Fortaleza, conferido pela C\u00e2mara Municipal de Fortaleza.<\/p>\n<p>(Quadro pintado por L. Filho de Raimundo Cant\u00eddio de Oliveira e Urcesina Moura. Formou-se M\u00e9dico pela Faculdade de Medicina do Recife-PE, que hoje faz parte da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. Foi Secret\u00e1rio de Sa\u00fade e Secret\u00e1rio de Educa\u00e7\u00e3o do Cear\u00e1. Foi um dos fundadores da Faculdade de Medicina do Cear\u00e1, estabelecimento de Ensino Superior Privado, incorporado \u00e0 Universidade. Em 1983 recebeu o t\u00edtulo de Professor Em\u00e9rito da UFC. O Hospital Universit\u00e1rio Walter Cant\u00eddio, centro de refer\u00eancia para a forma\u00e7\u00e3o de recursos humanos e o desenvolvimento de pesquisas na \u00e1rea da sa\u00fade, foi nomeado em sua homenagem, na d\u00e9cada de 1980.<\/p><p>(Quadro pintado por L. Foi professor do Centro de Ci\u00eancias da Sa\u00fade, vice-diretor e diretor da Faculdade de Odontologia, Pr\u00f3-Reitor de Assuntos Estudantis e membro do Conselho Universit\u00e1rio da Universidade Federal do Cear\u00e1, entre outros. O Reitor Pedro Teixeira Barroso n\u00e3o conseguiu completar seu mandato por motivo de doen\u00e7a grave, sendo substitu\u00eddo interinamente pelo vice-reitor, professor Newton Te\u00f3filo Gon\u00e7alves. Formou-se Bacharel em Ci\u00eancias Jur\u00eddicas e Sociais pela Faculdade de Direito da Universidade Federal do Cear\u00e1-CE. Cientista pol\u00edtico, exerceu o magist\u00e9rio na Universidade Federal do Cear\u00e1 e participou da funda\u00e7\u00e3o da Faculdade de Ci\u00eancias Sociais e Filosofia, em 1968, sendo o seu primeiro diretor. Foi pr\u00f3-reitor de Pesquisa e P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o. Exerceu os cargos de Secret\u00e1rio da Educa\u00e7\u00e3o Superior do Minist\u00e9rio da Educa\u00e7\u00e3o, Secret\u00e1rio da Educa\u00e7\u00e3o do Cear\u00e1, Secret\u00e1rio Nacional de Educa\u00e7\u00e3o B\u00e1sica e diretor do Fundo Nacional de Desenvolvimento da Educa\u00e7\u00e3o (FNDE), do Minist\u00e9rio da Educa\u00e7\u00e3o. nasceu na cidade de Fortaleza-CE no dia 23\/07\/1946 e faleceu no dia 13 de janeiro de 2023. Filho de Prisco Bezerra e Otac\u00edlia Frota Bezerra. Formou-se Engenheiro Agr\u00f4nomo pela Universidade Federal do Cear\u00e1, mas n\u00e3o exerceu a profiss\u00e3o, decidindo por especializar-se em Estat\u00edstica. Ingressou na Universidade Federal do Cear\u00e1 por meio de concurso p\u00fablico como professor do Departamento de Estat\u00edstica. Ao longo de sua carreira na UFC assumir a fun\u00e7\u00e3o de assessor de Planejamento da Pr\u00f3-Reitoria de Pesquisa e P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o, pr\u00f3-reitor adjunto de Assuntos Estudantis e pr\u00f3-reitor de Planejamento da UFC. Em 1995 foi nomeado reitor, ficando no cargo por dois mandatos. Roberto Cl\u00e1udio Frota Bezerra tamb\u00e9m exerceu o cargo de assessor para programas especiais do MEC, consultor em projetos do Banco Mundial e do BID e membro do Conselho Nacional de Filho de<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jo\u00e3o Augusto Barreira e Enedina Teixeira Barreira<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Formou-se em Ci\u00eancias Sociais pela Universidade Federal do Cear\u00e1, concluiu mestrado em Sociologia Pol\u00edtica pela Escola de Altos Estudos em Ci\u00eancias Sociais de Paris e fez especializa\u00e7\u00e3o em Gest\u00e3o de Universidades pela Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o Universit\u00e1ria Interamericana, em S\u00e3o Paulo e no Canad\u00e1. Ingressou na Universidade Federal do Cear\u00e1 em 1965, como aluno da ent\u00e3o Faculdade de Filosofia, Ci\u00eancias e Letras. Em 1973 foi aprovado em concurso para professor da UFC, mas s\u00f3 assumiu em 1977, por ter sido preso pol\u00edtico durante o regime militar.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Foi diretor do Centro de Humanidades da UFC, nos per\u00edodos de 1983\/1987 e 1991\/1995. Ademais, ocupou a Pr\u00f3-Reitoria de Extens\u00e3o da UFC entre 1995 e 1999 e a Reitoria entre 2003 e 2006.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ren\u00e9 Teixeira Barreira \u00e9 ex-militante do movimento estudantil e da Juventude Estudantil Cat\u00f3lica (IEC) e da A\u00e7\u00e3o Popular (AP). Presidiu a Uni\u00e3o Cearense dos Estudantes Secund\u00e1rios (UCES) e a Uni\u00e3o Estadual dos Estudantes (UEE). Em 2004 ganhou o Trof\u00e9u Cidadania na qualidade de principal dirigente da UFC.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seu reitorado foi interrompido um ano antes do previsto, pois foi convidado para assumir a Secretaria da Ci\u00eancia, Tecnologia e Educa\u00e7\u00e3o Superior do Cear\u00e1 (SECITECE). Em seu lugar assumiu o Pr\u00f3-Reitor mais antigo, prof. Lu\u00eds Carlos Uch\u00f4a Saunders (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pr\u00f3-tempore<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), pois seu vice, prof. \u00cdcaro de Sousa Moreira j\u00e1 havia se manifestado como candidato para o pr\u00f3ximo mandato da Filho de Hugo Bezold Saunders e Arminda Uchoa Saunders. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Formou-se em Agronomia pela Universidade Federal do Cear\u00e1, concluiu mestrado em Hidrologia pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul e doutorado em Agronomia (Solo e Nutri\u00e7\u00e3o de Plantas) pela Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo. Ingressou na Universidade Federal do Cear\u00e1 em 1966, como auxiliar de ensino e em 1973 como professor da Escola de Agronomia. Assumiu dois cargos de pr\u00f3-reitor: entre 1995 e 2003 foi Pr\u00f3-Reitor de Assuntos Estudantis e entre 2003-2007 \/ 2007-2012 foi Pr\u00f3-Reitor de Administra\u00e7\u00e3o.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Em 2007 o professor Lu\u00eds Carlos Uch\u00f4a Saunders assumiu o cargo de Reitor, em car\u00e1ter <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">pro-tempore<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (04 de janeiro de 2007 a 20 de junho de 2007), pois o reitor Ren\u00e9 Teixeira Barreira afastou-se para assumir um cargo no Governo do Estado e o vice-reitor \u00cdcaro de Sousa Moreira n\u00e3o pode assumir pois j\u00e1 havia se manifestado como candidato para o pr\u00f3ximo mandato da Reitoria. Como era o pr\u00f3-reitor mais antigo, coube-lhe assumir a Reitoria. Ingressou na Universidade Federal do Cear\u00e1 em 1977, como professor colaborador. Durante seu per\u00edodo na universidade, ocupou diversos cargos administrativos: Coordenador do Curso de Qu\u00edmica, Coordenador do Programa de P\u00f3s-gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Qu\u00edmica Inorg\u00e2nica, Vice-Diretor do Centro de Ci\u00eancias, Vice-Reitor e Reitor. Tamb\u00e9m atuou como <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Membro do Conselho Gestor do Fundo de Inova\u00e7\u00e3o Tecnol\u00f3gica do Estado P\u00fablicas do Estado do Cear\u00e1, indicado pelo Conselho de Reitores das Universidades Cearenses CRUC.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00cdcaro de Sousa Moreira (1952-2008) assumiu a reitoria da UFC em meados de 2007, com mais de\u00a0 76% dos votos obtidos em sua elei\u00e7\u00e3o e deveria permanecer no cargo at\u00e9 2011. Mas na manh\u00e3 do dia 17 de abril de 2008 foi encontrado morto em sua resid\u00eancia.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No seu discurso de posse, em junho de 2007, \u00cdcaro deixou claro que n\u00e3o era homem de sonhar pouco e que conhecia o esp\u00edrito que sempre imperou na UFC desde os tempos de sua cria\u00e7\u00e3o. Ele afirmou: \u201cNossa meta, inspirada no idealismo e na coragem de Martins Filho, \u00e9 o infinito&#8221;. Filho de Ant\u00f4nio de P\u00e1dua Campos e Maria Irismar Holanda Campos.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Formou-se em Medicina pela Universidade Federal do Cear\u00e1 (UFC), fez resid\u00eancia m\u00e9dica em nefrologia no Hospital Universit\u00e1rio Pedro Ernesto, da Universidade do Estado do Rio de janeiro (UERJ), onde tamb\u00e9m obteve o t\u00edtulo de Mestre em Nefrologia e doutorado em Nefrologia pela Universidade Federal de S\u00e3o Paulo. Ingressou na Universidade Federal do Cear\u00e1 em 1998. Durante seu per\u00edodo na universidade, criou e chefiou, at\u00e9 1999 o Laborat\u00f3rio de Imunogen\u00e9tica e Imunologia de Transplantes da UFC, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">foi Vice-Coordenador do Mestrado em Cl\u00ednica M\u00e9dica, Chefe do Departamento de Medicina Cl\u00ednica e, por oito anos, Diretor da Faculdade de Medicina da UFC.
